At Bushel & Peck, we accept items based on what our Florida customers are shopping for right now. Because Florida's climate is warmer year-round, our seasonal calendar reflects local weather patterns rather than traditional four-season guidelines.
☀ Florida Seasonal Note Florida stays warm most of the year, so lightweight fabrics, swimwear, and warm-weather clothing are always in demand. We accept heavier fall and winter pieces in smaller quantities to match local shopping needs.
✨ Some items are accepted year-round. Toys, baby gear, maternity, boutique staples, accessories, and select shoes may be considered anytime based on current inventory needs.
Florida Seasonal Acceptance Guide
Florida seasons naturally overlap. During January through March, we may accept both lightweight winter layers and early spring merchandise based on weather and inventory needs.

Accepting: November – January
- Light layers and transitional pieces
- Short-sleeve and long-sleeve tops
- Lightweight pants, leggings, and joggers
- Dresses and rompers
- Light jackets and zip-ups
- Easter and spring holiday outfits
- Swimwear and cover-ups
- Sneakers, sandals, and casual shoes
Limited need this season:
- Heavy coats and parkas
- Thick wool or fleece items
☀ Summer — April through September
Accepting: February – May
- Shorts, tanks, and tees
- Swimwear, rash guards, and cover-ups
- Sundresses and rompers
- Lightweight linen and cotton sets
- Fourth of July and patriotic outfits
- Sandals, water shoes, and flip-flops
- Sun hats and accessories
- Back-to-school outfits and warm-weather school basics
Limited need this season:
- Sweaters, hoodies, and heavy layers
- Boots and closed-toe winter shoes

Accepting: July – September
- Light-to-mid weight layers
- Long-sleeve tops and lightweight sweaters
- Jeans, pants, and leggings
- Light jackets and hoodies
- Halloween and fall holiday outfits
- Thanksgiving and harvest-themed pieces
- Sneakers, boots (light), and closed-toe shoes
- Transitional dresses with layers
Limited need this season:
- Heavy winter coats and snowsuits
- Swimwear and summer-only pieces

Accepting: October – December
- Light-to-mid weight sweaters and pullovers
- Hoodies, zip-ups, and fleece
- Jeans, pants, and warm leggings
- Light coats and jackets (Florida-appropriate)
- Christmas and holiday outfits
- Pajamas and holiday sets
- Boots and closed-toe shoes
- Scarves, hats, and light accessories
Limited need this season:
- Heavy parkas or ski gear
- Snowsuits or extreme cold-weather items
🎉 Holiday & Special Occasion Items
Holiday apparel is accepted approximately 6–8 weeks before the holiday, depending on available inventory and demand.

Acceptance dates may vary based on inventory levels and customer demand. Holiday items in excellent condition are always welcome when timing aligns.

- Acceptance is never guaranteed — all items are reviewed individually based on condition, brand, style, and current inventory needs.
- Items must be freshly washed, wrinkle-free, and free of stains, odors, and pet hair regardless of season.
